French paper reprints Mohammad cartoon after firebomb

A French satirical weekly whose office was firebombed after it printed a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad has reproduced the image with other caricatures in a special supplement distributed with one of the country’s leading newspapers.

The weekly Charlie Hebdo defended “‘the freedom to poke fun’ in the four-page supplement, which was wrapped around copies of the left-wing daily Liberation Thursday, a day after an arson attack gutted Charlie Hebdo’s Paris headquarters.”

Courage, and the unwillingness to let fear and terrorism take away their rights. Awesome.

Commandment #11: Thou Shalt Not Poop in the House, for God is Totally Grossed Out by Poop and May Very Well Condemn Thee to Hell for Thine Smelly Deuces.

Deuteronomy 23:12-14

New International Version (NIV)

12 Designate a place outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. 13 As part of your equipment have something to dig with, and when you relieve yourself, dig a hole and cover up your excrement. 14 For the LORD your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that He will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you.

More like “Doodie-ronomy.” Amiright?

There’s something in every atheist, itching to believe, and something in every believer, itching to doubt.

I would agree with this. For me, it’s my imagination. I have a vivid imagination, and the Judeo-Christian mythology is rich, with some intriguing characters. I enjoy suspending my disbelief in order to experience the fantastical aspects of religion.  This is one reason I enjoy attending Christian Easter services; they’re celebratory and jubilant, and the Resurrection is a spectacular story.

That being said, I feel the same way about religion as I do about Greek/Roman mythologies, the Lord of the Rings series and theater productions of Peter Pan.

No it’s not because they also believe God created them, but they know that murderers didn’t. Bad analogy.

I guess the sickest part of this response is that some people believe a magical ghost in the sky not only created people, but has the right to kill them if he wants to and deserves to be thanked for not killing others on a whim. Why do people worship such dick gods?
