David Yost (or Billy Cranston, Blue Power Ranger) participating in the NOH8 campaign’s push for marriage equality. Yost is gay, and endured years of bullying from his co-stars and producers on MMPR.  He has stated that this harassment is the reason he left the show. He spent two years in a “pray away the gay” deconversion center before checking into a psychiatric hospital for a nervous breakdown. Yost has since come to accept himself and now works publicly to further awareness about LGBTQ rights.

A bill was just passed to allow bullying of any kind in Michigan.  The bill just passed states that bullying is non punishable by law if it is shown that the bully has a strong moral conviction.  This exempts bullying on basis of ANYTHING, at all, race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, ANYTHING at all, is not only allowed but basically encouraged.  Please spread this around, its sickening, why is this allowed in today’s society.

This is disgusting.

:/ Whaaaaaaat??!!

Wow… I’m so glad I don’t live in Michigan.

ISN’T EVERYONE GLAD THEY DON’T LIVE IN MICHIGAN?! Oh wait………

Good thing I have a strong moral conviction against bullies and Michigan state-level politicians. But seriously…wtf.

So what’s it going to take, Republicans? What the FUCK is it going to take to get you to care more about actual people than your antiquated, misguided prejudices? What the FUCK do we have to do to get you to give a shit about anyone who isn’t you? How many more have to bleed, cry, lose everything, fucking die before you stop puffing on the flames of your silly, self-imposed sense of victimization and pull your heads out of your smug, self-important asses long enough to see that there are real people who suffer the consequences of your fears-your hysterical, irrational fears of slipping from the STRAIGHT WHITE PROTESTANT MALE THRONE OF AMURIKAN KINGS? These are children, motherfuckers. Children who depend on you to protect them. Children who look to you when forming their ideas of right and wrong, of justice and compassion. You’re failing them. Not only that, you’re actively harming them. You’re sending a message that hating others is not only okay, but that it’s expected and righteous when presented under the guise of religion.  That hate speech is protected speech. In fact, it’s constitutional to hate people.  The blood and tears that will inevitably be spilled by the passage of this bill are directly on your hands, motherfuckers. I wonder if your precious religious beliefs—the ones that now legally allow Michigan bullies to destroy another human being— will find a way to help you forget that your actions will cause harm. You’d better hope so. Because the people whose lives are irrevocably harmed by bullying violence sure as hell won’t. And history won’t either.
